These are 3 powerful, simple exercises that will explode your strength and fitness to the next level.

The Push Up

This simple to perform, do anywhere exercise can help you build incredible strength!  And with so many different variations, its hard to ever become bored with them.  The push up is performed by laying horizontal, face down and then raising and lowering the body by using your arms.  The primary muscles developed by doing push ups are the pectoral muscles and the triceps.  There are many secondary muscles that are recruited during the performance of this exercise such as the deltoids and the core muscles of the midsection.  If you want to gain strength, add these to your routine twice a week.

Pull Up

The pull-up is an upper body exercise where the body is suspended by extended arms to a fixed bar overhead with an overhand grip and then the body is pulled up until the elbows are bent and the head is higher than the hands.  There should be no swinging of the body during the repetitions of this exercise.  There are several variations of the pull up and adding these to your routine twice a week will build incredible strength.  The primary muscles worked during this exercise are the muscles of the back and shoulders.

Squat

The squat is the king of strength building exercises!  The squat primarily trains the muscles of the thighs, hips, buttocks and lower back.  Squats are a vital exercise to add to your routine to build overall strength and stamina
